Jennylyn Mercado guested yesterday, April 13, at Showbiz Central to face the Central Jury, composed of Raymond Gutierrez and Mo Twister, concerning a couple of controversies and a rumor so morbid that it would make some people fidget. However, the blooming and surprisingly collected Jennylyn just laughed at it all and faced the Jury's questioning with ease.
Before the interview began, Raymond commended Jennylyn's overall appearance, saying, "You look so beautiful. Parang hindi ka pregnant. Tignan mo, if you could just look at her face, hindi mo mamamalayan na buntis pala siya. But then you look down and say, ‘Ah, buntis pala siya!' Sexy mama!"
Getting down to business, Raymond asked if Jennylyn would be having twins.
"Puwede din!" Jennylyn exclaimed. "Kaya lang, isa lang ang nakita ko sa ultrasound, e. Isa lang."
Raymond followed, "Pero how does it feel na kailangan—siyempre you're a single mom just like my sister [Ruffa Gutierrez]—doble-kayod for the baby. How does that feel?"
"Siyempre, okay lang. For me, okay lang kasi basta for my baby's future. Lahat naman, e. Lahat gagawin mo at magsisikap for the baby. I'm ready."
MORBID INTRIGUE. Mo Twister, who handles controversial questions like a pro, was straightforward with Jennylyn concerning the morbid text messages currently spreading like wildfire.
"We all know na kung buntis ang isang tao, e, doble din ang [pagiging] emotional. Medyo mabilis mapagod, lahat," Mo began. "Last week, may kumalat na text messages na you passed away. Aware ka ba dito?"
Jennylyn let out a wide "I know" as she stared in disbelief. After a short pause, she lively mused, "That time nasa Boracay ako. Nagpapamasahe ako noon. Nakahiga ako, then tumawag yung road manager ko na, ‘Hey Jen, nag-forward ako ng message na parang may nakasulat na Jennylyn passed away an hour ago, please pray for her.' So ako, parang, ‘Ha? Nagre-relax ako dito! Ano daw ikinamatay ko?'" she laughed.
Did anyone else know about the text message aside from her road manager?
"Mom ko. Pero siyempre lahat sila natakot, e. Worried sila, sobra!" said Jennylyn.
Changing the subject, Raymond interjected, "What were you doing in Bora?"
"Vacation!" Jennylyn answered with a big smile.
LOVE RESERVED ONLY FOR BABY. Mo shared another rumor with Jen, but this time, it was love-related. He asked, "May reports na you're going out with a new guy. Nag-Tagaytay daw kayo, isa siyang VJ and I wanna know kung totoo ba yun."
"No, hindi po totoo yun," said Jen firmly. "Friend ko po yun na kasama namin ni Mark [Herras] sa movie namin. Very close kami."
Since the discussion now focused on relationships, Raymond curiously asked if she and Patrick Garcia are still communicating.
"Tumatawag naman siya sa akin," revealed Jennylyn. "Twice a week, ganoon. Para i-check ako, para kumustahin ako, kung okay ako."
Raymond followed, "So now it's strictly on that, parang parent type of conversation. Hindi na kayo masyadong lovey-dovey o wala na, ganoon?"
"Oo," she replied. "Mas naka-focus na ang attention niya sa baby. And siyempre, may right naman siya tumawag at kumustahin kami kasi concerned naman din siya sa health ko at sa baby."
Mo suddenly asked, "Si Mark Herras , tumatawag ba sa iyo?"
"Hindi kami nagkakausap ni Mark, e. Pero ‘pag nagkikita kami, nagkukumustahan kami."
Mark said in a recent interview that he was ready to help out Jennylyn whenever she needs it. What is Jen's say on Mark's chivalry?
"Why not?" said Jennylyn. "But siyempre, huwag sobra. Baka bigyan nila [some people] ng kulay.'"
""GUSTO KO GIRL" On lighter note, Raymond again mentioned how great Jennlyn looks. He said, "You're five months pregnant now. How do you feel? Comfortable ka ba? And you look great! Do you work out? Nagpe-prenatal yoga ka ba?"
"No," Jen smiled. "Yung kinakain ko lang talaga, kailangan healthy. Vegetables, fish, ganoon lang."
"Sabi mo kanina na you wanted a healthy baby. Pero if you had a choice, ano gusto mo, girl or boy?" asked Raymond.
"Gusto ko girl," Jennylyn answered without hesitation.
ALL NATURAL, BABY. Jennylyn choose to reveal the "Killer Question," much to the delight of the fans. The question read, "Last year, bago ang iyong FHM pictorial, marami ang nakapansin ng pagdoble ng size ng iyong dibdib. May lumabas na may cyst daw, pero never mo itong sinagot. Tanong, totoo ba na hindi cyst ang ikinalaki ng dibdib mo kundi nagpa-breast enhancement ka?"
That was a long question. So, what was Jen's answer?
"Ayun, di ba, first time ko ngang nag-pose ng ganoon [sa FHM]? Di ba nga, sa Maxim nag-pose din ako, pero not that [revealing]. So yun nga, nagpatanggal ako ng cyst sa left chest ko. Tapos yun, hindi naman ako nagpalaki ng dibdib. So, health related siya. Kailangan tanggalin dahil lumalaki siya."
"Klarong-klaro na she's naturally sexy," Raymond concluded as the crowd showed their approval by clapping. Amidst the cheers and claps, Mo suddenly thought out loud, "Hindi ba dapat lumiit, if ever?" -- PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal)
